Programs - Troll Freestyle Skiing

Programs

Troll Freestyle club is a non-profit ski and snowboard club.  We are a member driven organization that works in collaboration with national and provincial organizations to promote freestyle skiing and snowboarding, in a fun, safe, and progressive team environment. 2025/2026 will be our third season and we aim to offer programs suited to athletes of all ages and abilities with long term goals of providing programming from recreational to competitive, and beginner to aspiring international competitor.

If you or your child is passionate about skiing and/or snowboarding and wanting to shred the bumps, ride terrain parks, learn to ride powder, or send it off natural features, then Troll Freestyle club offers a safe and fun pathway to progress those skills.  We are based out of Quesnel, British Columbia and Troll Resort.

Insurance and Athlete Registration: Freestyle BC & BC Snowboard Licenses (Mandatory for all participants)
*Your child MUST purchase an athlete's membership from Freestyle BC or BC snowboard. You only need to purchase this once annually. Memberships run July 1 to June 30 each year and you will be automatically directed to purchase an athlete membership when signing up for Troll Freestyle programming. The membership is for insurance purposes, and enables your child to take part in Troll Freestyle club programming, and take part in local or provincial events.
*Troll Freestyle club recommends purchasing Freestyle BC Club Athlete membership for the 2025/2026 season.  Athletes planning on competing at provincial or nationals will require a Freestyle BC Provincial Athlete membership.  (You can upgrade at anytime)
*Athletes will also be required to purchase one Troll Freestyle club general membership.  Troll Freestyle memberships will run annually from July 1st - June 30th.
Parents and guardians are also encouraged to purchase one club membership, as this will help support the growth of Troll Freestyle club, helping us expand winter and summer programming and providing you a vote in the annual board of directors AGM.

Clothing and Equipment

Athletes are required to provide their own clothing, ski and snowboard equipment. Skis and snowboards must be suitable for freestyle for the skier’s level and discipline.  All equipment needs to be in good working order. Clothing must be able to handle snow, cold, and poor weather conditions. Proper ski and snowboard helmets are mandatory.  If you need advice on clothing or equipment, let us know. Our club community can also help find used equipment.

New for the 2025-26 Season, we have a limited number of new freestyle skis and snowboards that can be lent out for use in club activities.  Please talk to your coach or contact us for more details.
